it doesn't bother me too much but it always happens...

why do couples always have to talk about their exes (ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends)?

a few reasons i came up with if it interests you: proof of status. proof of experience. just something to talk about because it was a large part of their life. a way to talk about things they have enjoyed and did not enjoy.

in a way it is good to talk about it.

really thought this post through as i was typing it out.

    Yeah it's a topic that seems to come up a lot, but I think you're right about it just being something to talk about. Sometimes it's really hard to think of something to carry on about for a topic.

    Bloggins Skater is right I think, bragging rights. I never talked about my ex unless my current gf asked about em. Even then I kept the convo short. People just feel the need to talk shit about people that hurt them to make them feel better. Whether or not they admit they were hurt in the first place
